In speaking of well-being can not avoid in the context of humor.
mood, laughing and knowing laughter are essential for our well-being, not only psychological but also physical.
mirror neurons are a stone thousand of positive psychology, and tell us that our brain is activated in the same way when we take action and when to simply watch. If you look at what someone take an object our mind activates the same motor patterns that would activate if we were in the first person to perform the same action.
One consequence of this is that we understand just imitating. This in turn proves that the mind and body are not two separate but interconnected.
The interesting aspect of this is that if we do do to our body as a representation of the joy our mind will put into place. In other words CREATE MOTION EMOTION, that our actions, how can it be a smile or a laugh, it creates an emotion in us. On a practical level, if we are sad, a smile can help us be happier.
The humor is, in fact, as mentioned, a natural strategy for our welfare.
addition, the ability to laugh is a powerful coping skills, that is, to deal in a positive way difficult situations. For example, self-irony, not to excessive levels can protect us in many situations!
