If there was a recipe for happiness who would not want to know? Well, Michael Fordyce found 14 Reaching the ingredients for happiness. They are the fundamental 14 and were identified by the author, through some research in the '80s, combining features of personality and lifestyle of the people happy. These factors are:
  1. be more active and keep busy
  2. spend more time socializing
  3. be doing productive activities that have meaning
  4. organize and plan things
  5. not worry
  6. scale down its expectations and aspirations
  7. develop positive thoughts and otimistici
  8. be directed to this work at a healthy personality
  9. develop a friendly personality, be yourself
  10. eliminate negative feelings and problems
  11. intimate relationships are the main source of happiness
  12. flelicità consider the No. 1 priority
A further positive aspect is that può apprendere (ed insegnare) ad essere felici e, conseguentemente, migliorare il proprio livello di benessere soggettivo. Tale lavoro deve però essere personalizzato. Un esempio di training che permette di migliorare la propria filicità è il Subjective Well-Being Training (SWBT).
